With the limitations set by different constraints of the project, taking advantage of different properties of form is crucial in creating an exciting façade that pops out in the middle of a bustling neighborhood between two central business districts.

The façade is first divided into smaller sections using grooves to create a more human scale, with different shades of blue and orange accents for a more vibrant and varied appearance. Texture is added through angled perforated screens protruding from different areas of the flat façade. Lastly, a thin frame surrounds the entire treatment to create a sense of depth and emphasis on the created façade. The combination of these solutions creates an intriguing façade at the exterior that is relatable to the intimate scale of the interior.

The boundary between intimate spaces and cramped spaces tends to blur as available space becomes smaller. ​​Creating safe and private spaces within these limited areas then becomes a great challenge for any project. Careful attention to the tiniest detail is key to utilizing a confined space to its maximum potential. A few inches saved, when combined, can determine the possibilities of the entire project. ​
