Our primary strength resides in promoting open communication within the team and with our clients, and using a flexible approach to problem-solving. ABOUT SPACEFABRIK

SpaceFabrik is an architecture and design office located in Manila. We provide comprehensive services from concept to project completion. We deeply understand our clients' vision, taking into consideration concept, aesthetics, operations, cost efficiency, and long-term project success. We conduct thorough analysis and engage in intelligent and meaningful discourse to develop innovative and creative solutions. Our team's strength lies in their experience in design, teaching, research, project management, documentation, and construction technology. Along with our expertise and experience, we promote open communication within our team and take a flexible approach to address our clients’ needs and wants. Our projects are the result of design collaborations influenced by local and international knowledge, research, and technology, as well as an understanding of the importance of interdisciplinary strategies. Our goal is to create architecture that appreciates the poetics of place and space, aiming to weave rich and complex underlying fabrics within spaces and places, and to tell a narrative between space, user, and experience.

STEPHANIE TAN

Director

Stephanie is practicing and licensed architect in the Philippines. She is educated in Germany and trained as an Architect in London.
She has worked for Foster + Partners, London designing multi-billion projects located in Melbourne, Rabat Morocco and Hong Kong.
Stephanie Tan-Branquinho completed her Masters of Architecture at the DIA, Bauhaus in Dessau Germany where she focused on algorithmic methods, biomimetics and theories that bring sociology, anthropology, psychology and critical theory into the understanding of architectural spaces and processes. She graduated with highest honors with her paper on “Diaspora Space” where wrote about finding identity through space and architecture .
She then moved to Berlin and worked for HSH Architekten in Berlin and later to London for Sir Norman Foster | Foster + Partners where she worked on several multi-billion dollar projects such as Bab Al Bahr in Morroco; West Kowloon Train Terminal, Hong Kong; Sama Dubai Towers in Melbourne.
Since moving back to Manila, she set up SpaceFabrik as Principal Architect which specializes in Recreation, Entertainment, Gaming, Hospitality, Offices and Bespoke Residences. Spacefabrik works hand-in-hand with Clients in developing their Business from concept, user data and analysis, construction, operations and end-user experience. Since 2014, the company has built approximately 200,00sqm of Prime Real Estate with over Php6 Billion worth of Construction Projects.
From 2021 - 2022 she was the Dean of Architecture of Enderun Colleges and helped craft the Architecture Programme and its mission and vision.
Stephanie’s expertise is in crafting and developing Real Estate Portfolios, Property Management, Operations and Project delivery from concept to completion.
Stephanie holds Portuguese and Filipino Citizenship.

JAMES TAN

President

A graduate of Xavier School and the University of Santo Tomas, Ar. James Tan has over 50 years of experience in Architecture, Construction and Building. In the early 1990s, he led the team of Henry Sy as General Manager of SM CHINA in business development, land acquisition, design and construction of a 400 hectare property located in Fujien, China. He has also worked with some of the biggest developers in the Philippines as well as with bespoke projects throughout his career.

Ar. James is instrumental in the culture and quality of delivery of Spacefabrik as the most senior member of the team.
