Balintawak Market Concept

This project is located along the major arterial road of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue, in one of the most congested areas of the metro. The proposal tries to leverage the underlying problems of the existing Balintawak market in order to design a more sustainable and future proof market. It demonstrates that Green design is not limited to energy efficiency or environmentally friendly design but also about being socially engaged. We integrate social and environmental performance for improved quality of life, demonstrating a successful approach combining climatic mitigation, aesthetics and community development.
