The project aimed to reimagine the existing structures at Luneta Park to maximize their use while ensuring that the redesign is cohesive with the park’s overall plan. With this in mind, Spacefabrik designed the building façade of one of the existing structures, incorporating iconography based on Philippine endemic flora.

The renovated public restrooms draw inspiration from vernacular architecture and showcase the vibrant emerging art scene in Manila. While keeping the overall aesthetic of the project in mind, we have also considered the needs of the users and how the facilities will be utilized. Our aim is to create a space that is both functional and essential for park visitors, while also being easy for the park’s administration to maintain.

The pandemic has underscored the importance of public parks and open spaces for our overall well-being, and we are honored to contribute to the redevelopment of Luneta Park.
